Real Sociedad set to sign Hector Fort from Barcelona

The 20-year-old has reportedly agreed to join Sociedad for £6.85milliion plus fifty percent sell-on clause and a buy back clause around £17.14million.

Fort earned his senior team contract in 2024 after impressing for La Masia's youth teams, making his debut for Barca in a 3-2 loss against Belgian side Royal Antwerp in a UEFA Champions League group stage clash.

He went on to make 30 appearances for the Catalan based club, providing three assists in all competitions before playing in 17 matches for Elche last season, scoring three goals while providing two assists to help the club gain promotion to LaLiga.

The Spaniard is set to join centre backs Kazunari Kita, Jon Pacheco, and left-back Javi Lopez as Sociedad's latest summer transfers for American head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo.
