Talks between all parties involved were concluded late on Saturday and moved swiftly to a decision to unveil the former Sekhukhune United mentor in front of supporters in Bloemfontein.
According to information gathered by the public broadcaster, Seema will begin his tenure on Monday.
Siwelele FC recently acquired the topflight status of SuperSport United pending ratification from the Premier Soccer League executive committee – and that long wait appears to be over with leaked fixtures showing matches scheduled under the new name for the 2025/26 season.
Seema was sacked by Sekhukhune in March following a fall-out with the Babina Noko hierarchy, who replaced him with Eric Tinkler.
He has been unattached since, but it’s understood he has now agreed terms and is set to take over from Arendse.
Arendse helped secure the club’s elite status in the final game of the previous campaign having been put in charge prior to the sale.
The former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper stepped up when Gavin Hunt was fired for a string of poor results, however the team eventually survived the drop by finishing third from bottom place.
Arendse returned for pre-season, but with players leaving in patches to join other teams indications were that his future was also unclear although he set in the dugout on Saturday during a friendly match.
SABC Sport can now reveal the agreement in place is that the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations winner will work close with Seema from tomorrow.
