Siphesihle Maduna urges TS Galaxy to stop the bleeding after triple blow

Siphesihle Maduna urges TS Galaxy to stop the bleeding after triple blow

TS Galaxy midfielder Siphesihle Maduna insists the players remain upbeat despite a tough start to the season as they prepare to face Chippa United tonight.

It has been a horror opening for The Rockets, who crashed out of the MTN8 against Sekhukhune United and then suffered back-to-back Betway Premiership defeats to the same side and newly-promoted Durban City.

Galaxy now visit an equally struggling Chippa outfit in East London, and Maduna told SABC Sport the squad is determined to bounce back rather than dwell on their early setbacks.

"All I can say is we are not giving up, we'll continue working hard. Our coaches always make sure that we get better everyday in training for the next game. We didn't start well but I urge our supporters to continue supporting us and we will keep working hard and get better results," Maduna said.

Maduna dismissed the notion that they were battling due to the lack of depth in the squad because of the FIFA ban.

"I wouldn't say the FIFA ban has any influence on how we are playing right now, we all know that football has its ups and downs but what I can say is that I know we will bounce back," he added.

The former AmaZulu midfielder believes the have been valuable lessons learnt from the three losses so far, including taking their chances.

"We are working on converting our chances because that's what we are struggling with but we will start scoring again. Even in the MTN8 we didn't perform at our best but we will definitely make a comeback.

“I know we won't make it easy for Chippa United to get three points, this game will also not be a walk in the park for us but we will make sure that we fight for those points."
