Babina Noko suffered another setback at the weekend, bowing out of the Carling Knockout at the first hurdle after a 3-1 defeat away to Golden Arrows.
The result compounded a difficult run in which they also dropped points in two Betway Premiership matches prior, but Tinkler, who joined Sekhukhune with a clear ambition to compete for silverware, intends to do a thorough review.
"You know, I've been in this situation many, many times before. Does it make a difference? I don't think so, to be honest. Everybody feels the loss, and the way we lost," said Tinkler.
"Especially after the performance, I don't think we deserved what we got. Like Manqoba [Mngqithi] said, a tale of two halves – they got the goals in the second half, we didn't.
"But we should have killed the game off in the first half, so I can't look at the games and say, 'In the three games that we didn't win any, you've got a problem here.'
"No, I've got to look at each game, what was the problem there? Why did we lose that one? Why did we draw that one? Why did we lose this one?
"So I don't look at it like you look at it, as a journalist, I look at it completely different. I will go home, I will analyse it, I will have a look at where the mistakes are and then we'll look to fix those mistakes."
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder added that he could not have predicted Sekhukhune would go into a slump.
"I'm not a magician. I can't foresee things, that the mistakes are going to come in this game. I don't wave a little magic wand to be able to figure these things out. These things, unfortunately, happen," he defended.
