The Buccaneers secured a crucial advantage at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium after Deon Hotto’s solitary strike handed them victory in the semifinal first leg.
Kaze wanted more from his side but acknowledged they must raise their performance significantly when the two teams meet again in Soweto this week, with Sekhukhune needing to overturn the deficit to keep their hopes of reaching the final alive.
"It's a game I think we started defensively well, but I will say that we didn't have the right intentions and convictions to go forward. In the second half, we tried to rectify this with better intentions and a positive mindset going forward as well. I would say that we lacked a little bit of composure in the final third. I believe we still have 90 minutes to come out on top and we will do everything to get it done," said Kaze
While the home leg was disappointing, Kaze stressed that he remained confident in Babina Noko to cause an upset at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday.
"Yeah, obviously we are going away at a disadvantage in the second leg. But if you want to win something, those are the moments you have to go through. It's up to us to come with strong mindsets and a strong belief that we can reverse the situation."
Kaze also felt their weakness was the lack of composure in front of goals with Pirates goalkeeper a spectator for much of the encounter.
Sekhukhune first play Pirates away in the Betway Premiership on Tuesday before returning to the same venue for the cup tie. Kaze suggested he might need an ace up his sleeves to get past The Buccaneers.
