Richards Bay FC, under the interim guidance of Vusumuzi Vilakazi, showcased a remarkable performance, securing a 3-1 triumph against SuperSport United at King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.

The encounter sparked to life in the 17th minute when Matsatsantsa were awarded a penalty due to a handball by Mthembu. Lungu calmly converted the spot-kick, giving SuperSport an early lead.

However, the tide turned in Richards Bay's favour just before halftime as Ime Okon received a red card for fouling Somila Ntsundwana. Thabani Dube capitalized on the numerical advantage, heading in the equalizer from a corner.

The hosts seized control in the second half, with Ntsundwana netting a goal after a long kick from goalkeeper Salim Magoola. Thulani Gumede added the finishing touch with a top-corner strike, securing a 3-1 victory for Richards Bay.

This crucial win boosts their chances of surviving relegation, marking a promising start to Vilakazi's tenure.

TS Galaxy soar past Chippa United with 2-0 triumph
