Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped by Marseille for Le Havre clash

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been dropped by Marseille following an internal disciplinary decision.

The Gabon international was left out of the squad for the Ligue 1 clash with Le Havre on Sunday evening.

According to reports, the suspension stems from an incident during Thursdayâ™s final training session at the clubâ™s Commanderie training ground.

Aubameyang allegedly sprayed club staff member Bob Tahri with a fire extinguisher.

Marseille are said to have taken a hard line towards the incident and removed him from their squad.

Aubameyang has enjoyed a productive season in Ligue 1 and has 13 goals and 10 assists in 40 games in all competitions.

"It remains unclear whether Aubameyang will face further internal sanctions or when he is expected to return to the squad, but the incident is likely to be addressed internally in the coming days.

"For now, Marseille move forward without one of their most high-profile forwards, as the club draws a firm line on discipline ahead of the season's closing stages," said Africa Soccer.
