Ramsey, who arrived from Aston Villa in the summer for thirty-nine million pounds, has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury on his full debut. After coming off the bench in the 3-2 defeat against Liverpool, the midfielder started the following game at Leeds United but was forced off at half-time following a challenge from former Newcastle player Sean Longstaff.
The 24-year-old has missed matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Barcelona, AFC Bournemouth and Bradford City. He is also expected to sit out the upcoming fixtures with Arsenal, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Nottingham Forest.
Newcastle hope he will be ready to feature away at Brighton on 18 October.
Howe gave a positive update ahead of Sunday's clash with Arsenal. He said: "I think his recovery is going really well. He's on the grass, working hard and building his fitness back up.
"The plan was always for him to be ready after the international break. If it's earlier than that, then he's ahead of schedule."
Wissa, meanwhile, has yet to make his debut since joining from Brentford for fifty-five million pounds on deadline day. The forward picked up a knee injury while on international duty with the Democratic Republic of Congo but has avoided surgery.
"He's here, receiving treatment, no operation needed," Howe explained. "We're looking at the other side of the international break. It was a huge blow because we felt the squad was settled, and Yoane was Premier League ready. But, touch wood, it's not long-term.
"We just have to get through the next few games and then he'll be back."
The absence of Wissa has placed more responsibility on record signing Nick Woltemade, who joined from Werder Bremen for sixty-nine million pounds and is still adapting to Premier League football.
