A solitary strike from Tebogo Potsane earned the Bloemfontein side a 1-0 victory, their first home triumph since the opening day of the Betway Premiership last month.
With pressure mounting and recent changes being made to the technical team, Seema insists the foundations are in place for Siwelele to build momentum.
"The vibe and the mood is much better. We needed to turn a corner because it was starting to become too much for the players.
"It is a process; this team is still developing, but wins like this go a long way."
The coach acknowledged the game lacked flair, but stressed the fight his players showed mattered more.
"We are not cooking, we are watering. When you don't play at your best, but you win, and the fans are happy, so for us that is a big positive.
"If we can fight like this at home, and fight even harder away from home, then we should have a good season."
Seema added that his target was not to measure himself against their rivals, but to simply retain their topflight status.
The Gallants victory lifted Siwelele clear of the relegation zone, though Seema cautioned that unity is still needed to steer the club out of danger.
