Real Madrid battled to a vital away win at Alaves, Sevilla utterly dominated Real Oviedo, and Celta clinched their first home league victory of the campaign with a strong show against Athletic Club.
Here's how each fixture unfolded.
Madrid's Late Rally Seals Vital Win at Alaves
Real Madrid edged Deportivo Alaves 2-1 thanks to a dramatic late goal that eased mounting pressure on manager Xabi Alonso.
Parisian forward Kylian Mbappe marked his return from injury with a powerful first-half strike, racing onto Jude Bellingham's precise pass to curl the opener past the keeper.
Alaves responded in the second half, with Carlos Vicente finishing clinically after exploiting space behind Madrid's high line to level the scores.
But Madrid's persistence paid off when Rodrygo tapped in from a low Vinicius Jr cross to restore the lead and ultimately secure all three points.
Alonso reflected on the performance saying the team must "build on the good things we did today," highlighting the importance of resilience amid injury challenges and the debut of young defender Victor Valdepenas, who impressed on his first senior start.
Sevilla Run Riot Against Struggling Oviedo
Sevilla produced a commanding 4-0 victory over Real Oviedo at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, ending their recent poor run of results and giving the home fans plenty to cheer.
Akor Adams opened the scoring with a composed finish after a clever through-ball, and later assisted Djibril Sow as Sevilla doubled their advantage before half-time. The visitors' defence was under constant pressure, with Batista Mendy adding a third after Adams flicked on another chance early in the second period.
Oviedo's miserable league form continued as they remain without a win in nine matches and were reduced to ten men late on, compounding their troubles deep in the relegation zone. Sevilla's quartet of goals restored confidence ahead of another busy run of fixtures.
Celta Celebrate First Home League Win
At Estadio de Balaidos, Celta Vigo finally secured their first home La Liga win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Athletic Club.
After a cagey first half, Celta surged ahead early in the second when Williot Swedberg connected with a well-placed cross to finish confidently.
Minutes later, teenager Jones El-Abdellaoui signalled his sharpness in front of goal, coolly slotting home his first of the season to double the lead.
Athletic were handed a route back into the game when a penalty was awarded, but Nico Williams' tame spot-kick was comfortably saved by Celta keeper Ionuà Radu, leaving the visitors frustrated and unable to break down a determined home defence.
