La Liga: Atletico win on the road, Real Betis claim Champions League qualification

Atletico Madrid secured a top-four finish in La Liga on Tuesday thanks to an away win at Osasuna, while Betis grabbed fifth to clinch Champions League football.

Osasuna 1-2 Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid achieved their top-four ambitions with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at El Sadar. Ademola Lookman opened the scoring early from the penalty spot after a handball by Javi Galan.

Substitute Alexander Sorloth doubled the lead in the 71st minute, heading home a precise cross. Despite late drama following Marcos Llorente's red card and a stoppage-time goal from Osasuna's Kike Barja, Diego Simeone's side held firm to secure three vital points.

Real Betis 2-1 Elche

Real Betis ended a 21-year wait for Champions League football with a historic win over Elche. Cucho Hernandez ignited the home crowd with an early strike, though Elche's Hector Fort managed to equalize before halftime.

The game shifted when Elche's Leo Petrot saw red early in the second half, allowing Pablo Fornals to capitalize and net the winner.

The victory puts Manuel Pellegrini's men seven points clear of sixth place, mathematically sealing their spot in Europe's elite competition next season.

Celta 2-3 Levante

Levante secured a massive boost in their battle against relegation, stunning Celta Vigo in a five-goal thriller. Celta's Ferran Jutgla was clinical, scoring twice to give the hosts the lead on two separate occasions.

However, Levante refused to buckle, finding equalizers through long-range efforts before snatching a dramatic winner from a set-piece situation.

While the result drags Levante toward safety, it effectively ends Celta's slim hopes of European qualification, leaving the Balaidos crowd in disappointment after a chaotic evening.
