The Glamour Boys are in the process of beefing up their team ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, having already concluded several deals, although they are yet to make official announcements, which are expected before their Netherlands pre-season tour.
It’s believed Amakhosi are hoping to wrap up the Ndlovu discussions in time for the player to join the rest of the squad in Europe.
Ndlovu joined SuperSport three years ago, initially on a loan agreement from Orlando Pirates before the deal was made permanent, after he impressed and wanted a fresh start away from the Soweto giants.
Matsatsantsa had earlier triggered the option to extend the player’s contract by a further year after managing to avoid relegation on the final day of last season, so Chiefs will have to negotiate a fee to get him on board.
According to information gathered by the public broadcaster, the two parties are now in advanced stages of negotiations, and pending finer details Ndlovu could very well be joining another Soweto giant since leaving Pirates in 2022.
The 28-year-old had one of his best seasons at SuperSport, despite the poor results that saw the club flirt with relegation.
Ndlovu missed just three Betway Premiership matches all season, scoring twice and adding the same number of assists.
Reports that SuperSport will be sold still persist, however, SABC Sport understands it’s unlikely that the topflight status will be sold this year as the new campaign fast approaches.
But given the uncertainty, Ndlovu is said to be keen on a new environment if the two clubs can agree a transfer fee.
