The two teams lock horns in their CAF Confederation Cup group stage opening match at Suez Stadium on Sunday evening.
In a tough Group D, which also features Egyptian giants Zamalek and Zambian side ZESCO United, Motaung Jr knows a win in this fixture could set the tone for their tournament.
"Getting an important three points on the board from the get-go is very important, and I think a positive start away puts us in a very good stead," said Motaung Jr.
"Everyone's going out there to put their best foot forward, we know that's going to be a mammoth task ahead of us, but I think the team is very well prepared.
"And I think we're also very aware of the threat that's going to face us, and we're looking forward to it. We're quietly optimistic and I think everyone knows how important the three points are.
"We're going there to win, we're playing to win, so we're looking forward to giving our best away from home, and you know if you get those away results, it will be tough for teams coming here to South Africa in Summer, playing in the afternoons, so this is crucial for us."
Motaung Jr also admitted their approach in maximising their chances of advancing to the knockout phase is to win their home matches and steal as many points as possible from away matches.
"We're going for six points [in the two games before AFCON], what can we do? If you're not going to win then you shouldn't be playing, so we're going for maximum points," he added.
"We're going to give everything we can, and obviously we have to be very smart, use experience in the away ties and I think we've got the right mix within the squad with some experienced heads and some young talent who can come in and gives us the results.
