'I'm open to anything' - Federico Chiesa ready for talks with Andoni Iraola over Liverpool future

Federico Chiesa has confirmed he is ready to hold talks over his future at Liverpool after revealing he will meet new head coach Andoni Iraola to decide whether he remains at Anfield next season.

Chiesa joined Liverpool two years ago in a deal worth 12.5 million pounds from Juventus, but has struggled for consistent game time. Under former boss Arne Slot, the Italy international made only two Premier League starts and totalled just 422 minutes across two seasons.

The forward admitted he has played "very little" since the start of 2026 and said his future now depends on whether he is part of Iraola's plans.

Speaking to *Gazzetta dello Sport*, Chiesa said Liverpool had blocked a January move after Juventus showed interest.

"In January, the club and Slot told me I could not leave because they needed me," he said. "I understood the situation."

He added that while he respects the club, regular football is now his priority.

"I've barely played in my first year and very little in the last season. I want to play. If I don't find consistency in the Premier League, I'll have to look elsewhere."

Chiesa will first travel to a training camp in the United States before sitting down for talks with Liverpool and Iraola.

"I'm open to anything," he said. "I'm ready to fight for my place, but the important thing is to play."
