Henderson acknowledges ‘final feel’ ahead of Mexico showdown

England midfielder Jordan Henderson admits their FIFA World Cup Round of 16 clash against co-hosts Mexico has all the ingredients of a final, given the occasion, the venue and the quality of the opposition.

The iconic Azteca Stadium will host one of the tournament's standout fixtures, with the winners potentially facing Brazil in the quarterfinals should the five-time champions overcome Norway.

Henderson believes the Three Lions must produce another composed performance to overcome an in-form Mexico side backed by a passionate home crowd.

"I think it's a huge occasion, it doesn't get much bigger than playing against Mexico in Mexico City. For us as a team it's about staying focused on our objective and that is to win the game. Of course that comes with challenges, Mexico are a great side with quality players, but every match in the World Cup is difficult."

The 36-year-old is playing in his fourth World Cup and added that going to the Azteca Stadium will rank as one of the most memorable moments of his career.
