Usuthu snatched a late winner in the 87th minute at Moses Mabhida Stadium, denying the newly promoted Citizens a share of the spoils and local bragging rights.
Hunt says, while his team deserved more from that performance, they can’t dwell on the result with another crucial fixture on the horizon.
"Obviously last week was a bit of a disappointment for us, I mean to lose like that at the end was a big disappointment because I thought we deserved a little bit more," said Hunt.
"But we've got to move on, and this is a different competition – in a cup, it gives us a chance to try and [get the confidence back], but it won't be easy, there's no doubt about it.
"They'll be highly motivated, they lost and we lost, so we're also looking forward to the game and ja. We've scored a few goals in the last couple of games, but we obviously didn't score on the weekend, which was a bit disappointing but it was one of those games where it was going nowhere."
The 2017 Carling Knockout-winning coach says this season’s tournament presents the simplest route to silverware, with just a few wins separating teams from the final.
"I think you'll see a lot of coaches will say that this is certainly – maybe not easier but – better cups to win because it's two or three games and you're in the final," he added.
"The Nedbank takes a little bit longer and the draw is always a big thing for me in cup competitions – who you play and where you play them, so let's get there, be prepared like we will be and take it from there."
