The Natal Rich Boys currently sit 11th on the Betway Premiership log, with 8 wins, 5 draws, and 13 losses.
They face an out-of-form Golden Arrows side lying in 14th, having suffered four consecutive defeats.
Gabriel says the team is responding well in training.
"We are feeling confident heading into this fixture. We want to continue and reproduce our good performance against TS Galaxy last time out, against whom we had to dig deep and play with a lot of guts and determination to come back home with three points after receiving a red card in the 52nd minute of the game," explained the Natal Rich Boys mentor.
This will be Richards Bay’s penultimate match of the season, followed by a tough away fixture against SuperSport United, another team fighting to stay out of the playoff conversation.
Coach Gabriel has urged his players to keep building momentum and continue their recent improvements.
"We want to continue to improve as a team, but not only that, we want to become more consistent in terms of our performances, and we believe that will give us the result we want this weekend," said Gabriel.
When these two sides met earlier in the season at Mpumalanga Stadium, Richards Bay claimed a 1-0 victory thanks to a 75th-minute strike by Lindokuhle Zikhali.
They head into Saturday’s fixture buoyed by a confidence-boosting 1-0 win over TS Galaxy last weekend, a result that moved them clear of playoff danger.
Gabriel expects a tough test on Saturday afternoon against a wounded but dangerous Arrows
