Fiacre Ntwari to face parent club Kaizer Chiefs under loan agreement

The agreement allows Ntwari to feature in any competition, including Betway Premiership fixtures and domestic cup competitions such as the Nedbank Cup and Carling Knockout, should Kruger United be drawn against Chiefs.

It continues a trend adopted by AmaKhosi in recent seasons. 

Last campaign, Happy Mashiane and Samkelo Zwane were among the players loaned to Siwelele FC without restrictions preventing them from facing their parent club. Although the duo did not feature against Chiefs, they were eligible for selection.

Ntwari joined Chiefs from TS Galaxy two years ago but has found opportunities limited at Naturena – especially following the arrival of Renaldo Learner. 

His move to newly promoted Kruger United offers the Rwandan international the chance for regular first-team football.        

Kruger United begin their maiden Betway Premiership campaign with a home clash against Chiefs at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday. While reports emerged that Ntwari suffered an injury shortly before his loan move was finalised, it remains unclear whether he has recovered in time for the season opener.

Even if he misses this weekend's encounter, the 26-year-old will still be eligible to face Chiefs later in the season and in any domestic cup fixtures. Ntwari remains contracted to AmaKhosi until 2028.

Unlike several PSL clubs, including Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, who often prohibit loan players from facing their parent clubs, Chiefs have generally chosen not to include such clauses in recent loan agreements.
