The move comes as Amakhosi continue to reshape their goalkeeping department following the arrival of Renaldo Leaner on a free transfer from Sekhukhune United.
Chiefs have also retained Brandon Petersen and Bruce Bvuma, while academy product Bontle Molefe recently returned from a loan spell at Leicesterford City before signing a new long-term contract.
Information reaching the public broadcaster indicates that Chiefs are not looking to sell Ntwari outright, however.
The club invested significantly when signing the goalkeeper from TS Galaxy two years ago and still believe he has value, making a temporary move the preferred option.
Ntwari arrived at Naturena with high expectations and initially established himself as the club's first-choice goalkeeper.
But he gradually lost his place in the starting line-up and eventually fell out of the matchday squad altogether.
With competition for places increasing, it’s believed Ntwari is unlikely to feature prominently under new coach Fernando Da Cruz unless there is a significant change in circumstances.
A loan move would allow the 26-year-old to regain regular first-team football while remaining under contract at Chiefs.
It would also free up one of the club's five foreign-player registration slots, giving Amakhosi greater flexibility should they wish to strengthen elsewhere before the transfer window closes on 21 September.
Discussions are ongoing, with a loan currently viewed as the most likely outcome due to the fact that Ntwari is contracted by Chiefs until June 2028.
