Orlando Pirates' commendable three-match winning streak in the DStv Diski Challenge came to an abrupt halt on Saturday as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against SuperSport United.

The Buccaneers initially seized the initiative when Mpumelelo Ndaba notched a breakthrough. However, SuperSport responded swiftly in the second half, with Sifiso Mazibuko finding the back of the net.

As the match seemed poised for a draw, United dealt two decisive blows in the late stages, courtesy of Thabang Makhubo and Siviwe Magididi, extending the Buccaneers' winless streak against Matsatsantsa.

Kaizer Chiefs 1-1 Cape Town City

Kaizer Chiefs faced a late challenge against Cape Town City, ultimately securing a 1-1 draw after a penalty drama at the Princess Magogo Stadium.

City took the lead in the second half, breaking a goalless deadlock with a lofted shot from Shakeel April.

The Amakhosi salvaged a point in added time, courtesy of a penalty resulting from a foul in the area, expertly converted by Neo Bohloko. The draw saw Kaizer Chiefs slipping down to the fourth spot in the standings.
