Dominic Solanke set to return soon as Tottenham eye London Derby bounce back

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to resume Premier League action this evening with a London derby at West Ham United, aiming to recover from their recent 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

After the two-week international break, Spurs have welcomed back their players without any new injury concerns, which will be a boost for manager Thomas Frank as he finalises his team for the clash at the London Stadium.

Spurs had started the season strongly, taking six points from their opening two games with wins over Burnley and Manchester City. However, Bournemouth halted their momentum just before the break, leaving Frank eager for a return to winning ways.

Frank has provided a reassuring update on Dominic Solanke, who missed the Bournemouth game due to a minor ankle problem picked up while on international duty. "Everyone is fine. Everyone returned from international duties well. Dom will not be available still.

"Don't expect it to be long but he will not be ready for this game," Frank said in his pre-match press conference.

The update rules out surgery for the England international, with the striker expected back later this month or by early October at the latest.

Tottenham still face other injury absences, with Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison sidelined long-term, while summer signing Kota Takai continues his rehabilitation from an ankle injury. Destiny Udogie has returned to fitness and made a substitute appearance against Bournemouth.

In Solanke's absence, Frank will turn to Richarlison, Brennan Johnson, and Mathys Tel for goals, while new signings Randal Kolo Muani and Xavi Simons are ready to make an impact in attack. With the squad's depth and attacking options, Spurs are well equipped to challenge Graham Potter's West Ham for the bragging rights in the capital.
