Dillan Solomons praises Arthur Zwane for Nkosikhona Radebe transformation

Kaizer Chiefs defender Dillan Solomons has credited former head coach Arthur Zwane for helping to transform AmaZulu right-wing-back Nkosikhona Radebe, who has been key since his arrival from TS Galaxy.

A former SA U20 international and product of the KZN Academy, Radebe has featured in all of Usuthu’s seven matches in the league so far.

The 24-year-old could be key in their game against Amakhosi at FNB Stadium this evening, and Solomons rates him highly.

"For me, I'm always someone that watches the games, I know Radebe really well – I've played against him a few times when he was a winger, and now he's transitioning into a wing-back type of right-back," said Solomons.

"I think that's what the coach of AmaZulu really does – he focuses on talents and he grooms them, shows them a different way to see the game, and I think with that, [Radebe] has improved in that position really well.

"So, ja, I'm looking forward to the game and hopefully we can get a win."

Chiefs will be aiming for a win over AmaZulu this evening, as they look to rise from sixth to third – ahead of Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates, and Solomons knows this won’t be an easy fixture, especially before the international break.

"We want to go into the international break on a good note in the league, so for us it's very important to get these three points – we want to keep the momentum going," he added.

"It went down a bit, but not too much so we want to lift it up again and get the three points, and just keep chasing. People always tell me that we need to win the league, but for us it's just one game at a time.

"We need to just keep picking up points, it's very important, so that when we come out of the international break, we can say that this is how we're going to look at things.

"We can't keep setting our sights on the bigger picture, we have to keep it in the present moment, and just keep focussing on each game as it comes.

"So AmaZulu is in our sights, we know what we need to do, three points is very important for us, and it's at home so we've just got to keep picking up those points here at home."
