Barcelona's intense transfer activity targets Giovani Lo Celso from Spurs

Barcelona are gearing up for a frenetic final stretch in the summer transfer window, with their primary focus on completing pending registrations.

However, the Catalan giants are not stopping there, eyeing one more crucial addition - Giovani Lo Celso.

Tottenham's midfield maestro has captured the attention of manager Xavi Hernandez, who regards the Argentine international as an ideal choice for bolstering squad depth and fitting seamlessly into his four-midfielder system.

With Bernardo Silva no longer in contention, Lo Celso has ascended to the forefront of Barcelona's wishlist for this position.

Transfer expert Gerard Romero revealed that the club recently reached out to Lo Celso's representatives to express their keen interest. They have assured Lo Celso's camp of their commitment to pursue the 27-year-old if they can secure a significant sale in the coming week.

To finance a midfield signing, Barcelona are actively seeking to offload one of their forwards. Ez Abde, Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres are all available for the right price, though none of them are eager to depart at present.

However, should circumstances change and any of the trio depart before the window closes, Barcelona have earmarked Giovani Lo Celso as their preferred reinforcement.
