The defending champions arrived in Morocco as early as Wednesday in order to acclimatise eight days for the continental showpiece’s scheduled kick-off.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Jane believes Group C is a difficult group to be in but they will look to take it one game at a time.
"It's a difficult group, and no team is easy to play [against], especially on the African continent, we're hoping that in the first game against Ghana, we can set the tone," said Jane.
"We're hoping we can get a positive result and then take it one game at a time."
Jane says they will have to contain the pressure as a result of being defending champions, with every team set to be gunning for their title.
"Well the objective still stays the same – I think everyone going to the tournament is going to win it, so with the pressure of trying to retain it being there, it's no different for the team," she added.
"We're hoping that we can do our level best, play our best games and try and retain the trophy, and make South Africans proud."
The 32-year-old will lead the team alongside Lebogang Ramalepe and Amogelang Motau as co-captains, and says it is important to pass the baton to other captains, considering her experience.
"I'm honoured again, it's such a privilege to be selected as one of the leaders in the team, and with the experience that I've gained over the years, being in the team, it's important that I pass on the baton.
"I also have to share that experience with the upcoming players and other captains, and while it's not easy to be the leader of the team, when we work together, share the same vision and goal, then everything becomes easy," she concluded.
