It's been a difficult few weeks for the Bulls, but spare a thought for Kade Wolhuter. On loan from the Lions, He made his debut for the Pretoria franchise at Franklin's Gardens in England but was taken off the park in the 67th minute with a serious knee injury.
This week, Wolhuter took to social media to share a significant life update.
"I've been trying to come to terms with the reality of rupturing my third ACL in six years and right now the mountain before me appears massive but I have peace in knowing that I've come back twice before and I will come back again!" the 24-year-old told fans on Instagram.
"I really appreciate all the support and I'm going to need it during this period, so thank you in advance; it doesn't go unnoticed."
Wolhuter is 24 years old. Despite securing his first contract with Western Province in 2020, injuries have limited his appearances to just 34 professional matches.
