The in-person sessions catered to local players, while players based abroad joined virtually. Erasmus and his assistant coaches delivered a series of presentations aimed at building cohesion and clarity ahead of the international season.
He said he was particularly pleased to connect with emerging talent, and stressed that the door remains open for other young players who have attended previous camps.
"Obviously, not all of the younger guys will get a chance to play, but just to get to know them was great. Overall, I think we are very happy with how things went," said the Springbok head coach.
The players also participated in a series of Outfox virtual training sessions to familiarise themselves with the new structures.
The Bok coach outlined the program for the two days and provided insights into the key areas covered in the sessions.
"We had about 54 guys from all over, including all the coaches and the relevant people from all the departments, got to share our plan and how we want to operate," emphasised Erasmus.
Among those involved in the camp were eight uncapped players: Juarno Augustus, Vincent Tshituka, Ntokozo Makhaza, Renzo du Plessis, Neethling Fouché, Asenathi Ntlabakanye, Marnus van der Merwe, and Cobus Wiese.
Erasmus emphasised the importance of integrating younger players while maintaining the value and experience of the senior core.
With the 2027 World Cup on the horizon, Erasmus said the blend of youth and experience is key to building sustainable success.
With just over a month to go before their opening match against the Barbarians in Cape Town, the first ever between the sides on South African soil, Erasmus said the energy in the camp was infectious.
He praised the attitude of both the players and the technical team, adding that preparations are well on track for what promises to be an exciting international season.
"I think we're all very excited after these virtual alignment meetings and plans, but now the challenge is to go and deliver out on the field."
As the alignment camp wraps up, players now return to their franchises to finish the current season.
With the Bulls, Stormers, and Sharks all contesting the United Rugby Championship quarterfinals at the end of May, Erasmus wished all players involved the best of luck.
The Springboks will kick off their international season on Saturday, 28 June, with a historic first-ever home clash against the Barbarians.
That opener will set the tone for a busy calendar, which includes the Castle Lager Incoming Series, the Castle Lager Rugby Championship, and the traditional end-of-year tour in November.
