The six players are: hooker Malcolm Marx, flanker Pieter-Steph du Toit, props Ox Nche and Thomas du Toit, fly-half Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, and winger Cheslin Kolbe.
The announcement comes after a remarkable season for the Boks, which saw them win 11 of their 13 Tests to date. They successfully defended the Rugby Championship title, the Freedom Cup and Nelson Mandela Challenge Plate, and claimed victories across the Incoming and Outgoing Series against top-tier opposition, including memorable away wins over France and Ireland.
SA Rugby President Mark Alexander congratulated the six players on the achievement, while saluting the Boks for another job well done.
"I'd like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Malcolm, Pieter-Steph, Ox, Thomas, Sacha and Cheslin on behalf of SA Rugby and the entire country for being named in the Dream Team," he said.
"They have all played exceptionally well this season and deserve this honour. Being named in this team is a massive achievement, especially since it consists of the best players throughout the world. To see six Springboks included is a testament to the quality of players we have in South Africa."
Alexander also highlighted Malcolm Marx's achievement as the 2025 World Rugby Men's 15s Player of the Year, making him the second South African in a row to claim the award, and Ethan Hooker's nomination for the World Rugby Breakthrough Men's 15s Player of the Year.
"The Springboks are a true symbol of what we can achieve as a country and as a team when everyone works together. It is a brotherhood more than anything else and I'd like to congratulate coach Rassie Erasmus, his coaching staff and management team for ensuring that the players remain the best version of themselves on and off the field.
"Retaining the top spot on the world rankings in such a competitive year is exceptional. We're all behind them as they aim to finish their November tour unbeaten for the second year in a row."
Of the six named in this year's Dream Team, Nche, Marx, Pieter-Steph du Toit, and Kolbe were also included in the 2024 edition, alongside Eben Etzebeth, Damian de Allende, and Jesse Kriel.
Alongside the six Springboks, the 2025 World Rugby Men's 15s Dream Team features top performers from across the globe, including Will Jordan and Cam Roigard from New Zealand, Tom Curry and Maro Itoje from England, Harry Wilson and Len Ikitau from Australia, Tadhg Beirne from Ireland, and Louis Bielle-Biarrey from France.
Notably, no other nation has more than two players in the Dream Team, highlighting the dominance of the men in green and gold this season.
