Munster suffer injury setback as Jack Crowley ruled out of Bulls play-off clash

The Irish outfit are set to depart for South Africa on Tuesday and arrive in Pretoria on Wednesday afternoon.

While they are yet to confirm their wider travelling squad, Crowley has already been ruled out of selection. The Ireland international has been sidelined since April's 45-15 win over Benetton due to a leg injury, with JJ Hanrahan filling in at flyhalf.

Munster had been hopeful Crowley would return after increasing his training load in recent weeks, but he has not recovered in time for the trip.

Fellow Ireland international Edwin Edogbo is also a doubt, with no further update on his fitness after being left out of last week's matchday squad against the Lions despite stepping up training.

Tadhg Beirne also remains under an injury cloud, having last featured in April's win over Ulster.

There is some positive news for Munster, however, with Fineen Wycherley and Alex Nankivell both back in contention after missing the previous matchday squad.

McMillan's side head into the knockout clash in solid form, having won three of their final four regular-season matches, but face a Bulls team who finished fourth after winning their last four games.
