Key Ireland duo passed fit to start for Leinster against Bulls in URC final

Leinster captain Doris had been a doubt for the decider after suffering a knee injury in the semi-final victory over the Stormers, but the Ireland skipper has been passed fit and will lead Leo Cullen's side as they seek to retain their URC title. Furlong, meanwhile, returns at tighthead prop for his first start since April after missing the quarter-final and semi-final through injury.

The pair headline three changes to the Leinster team from the side that defeated the Stormers. Jerry Cahir replaces the injured Andrew Porter at loosehead prop after the Ireland international sustained a calf injury, while Tommy O'Brien returns on the right wing following a back complaint.

Ronan Kelleher keeps his place at hooker alongside Cahir and Furlong in the front row, while Joe McCarthy and James Ryan continue their partnership in the second row. Doris is joined in the back row by Josh van der Flier and Max Deegan.

O'Brien returns to a back three that also features James Lowe and Hugo Keenan. Friday's final will be Lowe's last appearance for Leinster before his departure from the province. Rieko Ioane and Jamie Osborne continue in midfield, with the New Zealand international also set to make his final appearance in a Leinster shirt before moving on at the end of his short-term stint. Jamison Gibson-Park and Sam Prendergast are retained as Leinster's half-back pairing.

Leinster have also been boosted by the return of Dan Sheehan, who is fit enough to take his place among the replacements after missing the semi-final. Thomas Clarkson, Alex Usanov, Diarmuid Mangan, Jack Conan, Luke McGrath, Harry Byrne and Garry Ringrose complete the bench.

The return of O'Brien caps a remarkable season for the winger, who recently collected the Supporters' Player of the Year and Men's Players' Player of the Year awards at Leinster's end-of-season ceremony, as well as the Tackle of the Year prize.

Leinster are aiming to defend the URC title they won with a convincing 32-7 victory over the Bulls in last season's final. After suffering Champions Cup disappointment against Bordeaux in May, Cullen's men now have the chance to finish the campaign with domestic silverware on home soil.
