In 2024, the Glasgow Warriors arrived at Loftus Versfeld as underdogs for the URC Final against the Bulls. But Franco Smith's men upset the hometown favourites, silencing the Loftus faithful with a 21-16 scoreline.
Now, the Bulls have the opportunity to exact revenge on the Scottish club, who are without several first-choice players for the top-of-the-table clash.
Speaking to the media ahead of Friday night's match in Glasgow, Bulls behemoth Marcel Coetzee heaped praise on the Warriors, who are difficult to beat at Scotstoun Stadium.
"The times we've played them here in the past they started very well," recollected Coetzee, who was part of the Bulls team that lost 35-21 in Glasgow in 2022.
"They play a high-tempo game, and got a great attacking set-piece going for them. It's a difficult team to analyse because they're so strong in all areas.
"We will go out and control what we can and nullify it to an extent. We will make sure that we also impose ourselves on the day.
"The plan against Munster worked out to perfection and the boys executed perfectly. That will be the challenge going into Glasgow.
"Coach Franco is regarded as one of the best coaches in the tournament and we've got great respect for him and what he's done for Glasgow.
"You can see his imprint that he has done for them. But we have to be awake and smart and it's going to come down to who wants it most and who executes the plan better on the day."
A win over the Glasgow Warriors could see the Bulls move up to second on the URC table with two rounds before the playoffs.
