Bulls scrumhalf Embrose Papier admitted the players have to take some responsibility for their recent run of poor results.

The Pretoria franchise ended a ten-match losing streak across all competition when the ran over the Griquas 40-3 in their Currie Cup clash n Friday night at Loftus. Director of Rugby Jake White armed the big guns for the fixture, with the likes of Springboks Kurt-Lee Arendse, Canan Moodie and Papier.

In the end, it was the diminutive Papier that starred, earning himself the man of the match accolade.

"The Bulls are a big Union... there isn't a single player here that wants to make mistakes or drag the union's name in the mud," said Papier, as per rugby365.com.

"We are trying our best and we are working very hard. I think we as players need to take responsibility.

"We have a responsibility to go out every weekend and give 110 percent. I just think we need to work harder."

The Bulls have two difficult outings this weekend, with a Currie Cup fixture against the high-flying Sharks on Friday in Durban, while their first-choice XV will run out against Zebre in the United Rugby Championship on Saturday.

"Zebre are a team that enjoys loose play, so we will try and be consistent again with our kicking game and it is important that we win the set-piece battle," added Papier.
