Bok, Munster lock RG Snyman ready to make long-awaited return in weekend's URC clash with Scarlets

Irish outfit Munster have confirmed that Springbok lock RG Snyman is once again available for selection and is set to return off the bench for the United Rugby Championship clash with Scarlets on the weekend.

Snyman has played just four games in two years for Munster since arriving in Limerick due to back-to-back cruciate ligament injuries and then burns from a firepit accident. The 2.06m 28-year-old lock has not played for the Springboks since the 2019 World Cup.

Snyman is primed for a return in the United Rugby Championship clash at the weekend with Scarlets as he looks to put his hand up for selection for the Bok World Cup squad later this year.

"On the injury front, RG Snyman returned to training with the squad in recent weeks and is available for selection," a statement from the Irish club read on Monday.
