Nontshinga has not fought since the 12th of October last year, when he lost to Masamichi Yabuki in Japan.
There have been talks of him moving up to the flyweight division and Nathan reveals that this is the decision, they are still looking to work around.
"Looking at bringing him back in August, I can't talk too much about that and obviously there's still a debate on where he's gonna go whether it's flyweight or light flyweight, 108 or 112,” Nathan said.
“My gut feeling though is maybe do a catch away fight for his first comeback fight see where he's at, maybe flyweight. I still need to put my finger on it and see where he's comfortable.
“He wants to move to 112, again, it's all about the chess, playing the chess board correctly but again he's growing, so let's see. He's been 108 for a while but ideally I'd like to see him back at 108 but again let's just see where he's at when we start training really, really hard."
In a space of just two years, Nontshinga won the IBF junior flyweight title and almost lost it twice.
The 26-year-old has got years of boxing still left in him to continue to be a superstar in this space, and Nathan says how he performs will also determine the division that suits him best.
"I think obviously, how he performs, if he performs at 112 and he looks nice and solid then maybe. If he looks like he can still get down to 108 and we can do another run at 108, I think it's all dependent on how he looks and how he feels."
