The session brought coaches and umpires together to discuss the business of netball coaching in South Africa, with a strong focus on strengthening the coaching education system and clarifying qualification pathways.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Diale described the turnout as encouraging and the presentations as impactful.
“As the Executive of Netball South Africa, we are humbled and pleased by the turnout.
The presenters were on point and the session was informative. The aim was to guide coaches on the Coaching Education system and qualification pathways, while addressing the business of netball coaching in the country,” she said.
Diale added that the Indaba provided valuable insights into performance planning, strategy, game intelligence, culture and player development.
“Coaches were also guided on fair selection policies - choosing players based on merit rather than familiarity - and the correct application of international rules,” added Diale.
The NSA leadership further used the platform to honour netball trailblazers, including Muditambi Ravele, Marlene Wanger and Blanche De La Guerree, in recognition of their lasting contributions to the sport.
“Confronting our past is crucial to rebuilding and moving forward successfully. Former coaches and administrators worked tirelessly to shape talent, instil discipline and build the foundation we benefit from today. Their legacy lives on."
