Addressing the media ahead of of the highly anticipated ‘Sole Survivor Final’ event at Emperors Palace this weekend, Ntlanganiso dismissed the notion that the “sweet science” is fading away.
“Some people are saying boxing is dying, but that is contradictory to what the stats are saying. Boxing around the world is growing," said Ntlanganiso.
"And coming back home, Golden Gloves is one of the leading African promotion companies and they are consistently delivering good showcases for us."
One of the most exciting narratives heading into fight night on Saturday is the trilogy between Roarke Knapp and Brandon Thysse.
Ntlanganiso expects the third chapter of this thrilling rivalry to be the best yet.
“We can expect an exciting fight between these two. Both fighters want to make history, and the fans are going to be the biggest winners on the night," he added.
The BSA executive also praised the growth of women’s boxing in the country after the recent performance of Simamkele Tutsheni on foreign soil and the imminent return of Monica Mkandla to the ring on Saturday night.
