Tony de Zorzi ruled out for remainder of ODI series in England with hamstring strain

Proteas batter Tony de Zorzi has been ruled out of the remaining two ODIs against England with a hamstring strain, while Matthew Breetzke is set to return from injury for the rest of the series.

De Zorzi sustained the injury in the first ODI at Headingley, which the Proteas won by seven wickets, while fielding in England's innings and left the field for treatment.

The left-handed batter was not needed to bat as the visitors comfortably chased down a modest target of 132 but will now return home and undergo scans.

The Proteas still have an injury cloud hanging over Kagiso Rabada after the fast bowler also sat out the opening game in England due to inflammation on his ankle.

Rabada had already missed the ODI series in Australia and the Proteas will look to get him fit for the T20 leg of the tour to England.

Codi Yusuf, who has been playing domestic cricket in the UK with Durham, has been called into the squad fast bowling cover.
