Australia complete South Africa whitewash as Travis Head stars with bat

Australia completed a whitewash over South Africa with a five-wicket victory in the third and final T20 international at Kingsmead on Sunday.

The Proteas batted first and made 190-8 with rookie Donovan Ferreira smashing 48 off 21 balls while last match's man-of-the-match continued his impressive form with a career-best 4-31.

That looked like a competitive total, especially when Proteas captain Aiden Markram dismissed Matthew Short with the first ball of the visitors' innings, but the Aussies made a mockery of the chase winning by five wickets with 13 balls to spare.

Travis Head was the chief destroyer for the Baggy Greens with a typically brutish 91 off 48 balls (eight fours and six sixes). However, the visitors were helped by the Proteas dropping three catches.
