Zesco Ndola Girls ready to face any opponent in CAF WCL COSAFA Qualifiers

Zesco will find out who their opponents are after the Group B fixtures wrap up tonight, where Silver Strikers will take on Nsingizini Hotspurs, who are already eliminated and Mamelodi Sundowns who sit top of the group will play against Costa Do Sol.

Speaking to the media after their 2-0 win against hosts and defending champions, Gaborone United, Katya says they are ready to face any team.

"This is a tournament so we are prepared for any team. We can't say we want to play against any specific team, we are ready for anyone."

The Zambians lost 4-3 on penalties in the final against Gaborone in 2025.

Katya however insists last night’s win was not about revenge.

"It's not about revenge, we are just here to play the game and this was a sweet three points for us. Every competition is different and so the approach is different everytime."

The team finished top of Group A with nine points, and the tactician has complimented her players for following through with her game plan throughout the competition so far.
