World Cup qualifiers: Aubameyang bags four against Gambia, Ivory Coast humble Seychelles

Gambia 3-4 Gabon

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang delivered an epic solo performance, netting all four goals for Gabon in a chaotic, seven-goal thriller.

Gambia fought back fiercely with a brace from Adama Sidibeh, but Aubameyang's late strike secured the crucial win. His heroics were marred by a late red card, meaning he misses Gabon's next decider.

Seychelles 0-7 Ivory Coast

The Elephants ran riot in an emphatic display of attacking prowess, putting seven goals past minnows Seychelles. Ibrahim Sangare opened the scoring from the spot, setting the tone for a dominant performance.

Goals from Agbadou, Diakite, Guessand, Diomande, Adingra, and Kessie kept the Ivorians firmly on top of their group table.

South Sudan 0-5 Senegal

Senegal's star power shone through in a professional demolition of South Sudan. Sadio Mane netted immediately after the break, adding to an Ismaila Sarr brace and goals from Nicolas Jackson (penalty) and Cheikh Ndiaye.

The comfortable away victory keeps the Teranga Lions as firm favourites to qualify automatically for the World Cup.

Sudan 0-0 Mauritania

A tightly contested defensive affair resulted in the only goalless draw of the night. Both teams cancelled each other out in a physical battle, failing to create enough clear-cut chances to break the deadlock.

The point earned means both sides remain locked in a tough, closely-fought battle near the top of their qualifying group.

Togo 0-1 DR Congo

Cedric Bakambu's early, thunderous strike proved enough to hand DR Congo a massive away victory against a spirited Togo side.

Despite the hosts controlling long periods, DR Congo's defence, led by Chancel Mbemba, held firm. This narrow, vital win ensures the Leopards remain in contention for the top spot.

Lesotho 1-2 Nigeria

Nigeria struggled but secured a narrow victory over Lesotho to keep their campaign on track. The Super Eagles had to fight hard after going behind, eventually edging the hosts.

This unconvincing but vital three points helps Nigeria move closer to the top of their tightly contested group, leaving Lesotho bottom.

Rwanda 0-1 Benin

Benin claimed a massive three points on the road with a narrow 1-0 win over Rwanda. This result vaults Benin towards the top of Group C, putting them right in the mix for qualification.

The visitors' ability to maintain a clean sheet laid the foundation for a crucial victory in a highly competitive qualifying race.

Sao Tome and Principe 0-6 Tunisia

Tunisia delivered a ruthless performance, scoring six unanswered goals against Sao Tome and Principe. The North African side displayed clinical finishing and complete control from the outset.

This dominant win significantly boosts Tunisia's goal difference, strengthening their bid to top the group and advance to the World Cup.
