Wolves land Norwegian star David Moller Wolfe on five-year deal

Wolves have completed the signing of Norwegian international David Moller Wolfe from AZ Alkmaar on a five-year deal, subject to visa and international clearance.

The 23-year-old left-wing-back, standing at 6ft 1in, becomes Wolves' third signing of the summer. Wolfe will reunite at Molineux with compatriot and international teammate Jorgen Strand Larsen, as the Old Gold strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Wolfe has earned 12 senior caps for Norway since making his debut against the Faroe Islands two years ago. A former youth international at four age levels, he also captained the under-21 side.

Starting his senior career in 2017 with Bergen Nord, Wolfe rose to prominence with SK Brann after joining in 2019.

Despite experiencing relegation, he was ever-present in Brann's near-invincible 2022 season, helping them secure the title and earn promotion. His performances earned him a move to AZ Alkmaar, where he filled the void left by Milos Kerkez.

Wolfe made 45 appearances for AZ last season, starting every Eredivisie and Europa Conference League match. He registered eight assists - including a crucial one against Roma - and scored three goals, notably against Galatasaray, PEC Zwolle, and in his final appearance against Almere City.

His recent international form has been impressive, featuring in all four of Norway's World Cup qualifying wins, including a 3â-0 victory over Italy in June and a goal against Israel.
