WAFCON: Dominant Nigeria crush Zambia to book place in last four

Nigeria booked their place in the semifinals of the Women's African Cup of Nations after crushing Zambia 5-0 at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Friday.

The Super Falcons showed their superiority early on and took the lead in the second minute when Osinachi Ohale found the back of the net with well-placed header.

Nigeria doubled their advantage just after the half hour mark when a cross by Rasheedat Ajibade located forward Esther Okoronkwo, who controlled with her chest before applying the finish.

The match looked over minute before halftime when a long ball from Nigeria goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was not dealt with by the Zambia defence and Chinwendu Ihezuo found herself in behind and finished to make it 3-0.

The Super Falcons continued their dominance after the halftime interval with Oluwatosin Demehin getting on the scoresheet in the 68th minute.

The victory was complete in injury-time as Folashade Ijamilusi scored a tap-in at the far-post to make sure other teams take note of this Nigerian outfit.

The Super Falcons will take on either defending champions South Africa or Senegal in the last four of the continental tournament.
