Victor Moses backs Luton for tough Blackburn clash

Victor Moses, the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, underscored the difficulty of EFL Championship matches as Luton Town prepare for their visit to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

The former Chelsea wingback, who joined Luton on a free transfer in September after leaving Spartak Moscow, has been a key figure for the Hatters this season.

Moses, who amassed 220 Premier League appearances across five clubs, was pivotal in Luton's dramatic 2-1 midweek victory over Stoke City, earning the man-of-the-match accolade.

The clash at Kenilworth Road saw Luton battle back from an early deficit. Stoke's Tom Cannon broke the deadlock in the sixth minute, racing clear to slot past Thomas Kaminski. However, Carlton Morris levelled the score with a clinical header in the 24th minute.

The match seemed destined for a draw until Elijah Adebayo delivered a moment of brilliance in the dying seconds. Reacting first to Tom Krauss' deflected shot, Adebayo smashed a first-time effort into the top corner, sealing the three points for Luton.

Ahead of the upcoming trip to Ewood Park, Moses shared his thoughts with the club's official website. "Winning a home game always gives you confidence, but playing away is different," he said.

"We'll need to give 120 percent to get another three points. The Championship is tough, no game is easy, but if we win on Saturday, it would be massive for us."

Moses has made 13 Championship appearances for Luton this season, scoring once in a 3-1 defeat to Plymouth Argyle. His influence has been vital for the Hatters, who currently sit 14th in the standings with 22 points from 20 matches.

Luton will look to build on their recent momentum as they aim to climb the table in what promises to be another fiercely contested encounter.
