Terrence Dzvukamanja seals SuperSport's victory over Kaizer Chiefs

SuperSport United secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in the DStv Premiership.

Bradley Grobler's swift combination with Terrence Dzvukamanja saw the home side take the lead just two minutes into the game.

Despite dominating possession in the first half, Kaizer Chiefs couldn't convert their chances into goals. Ashley Du Preez and Christian Saile both had opportunities, but they failed to find the net. Zitha Kwinika's shot in the 26th minute went over the bar.

SuperSport United made an early substitution, bringing in Keenan Bezuidenhout for Gamphani Lungu in the 29th minute.

Bezuidenhout's introduction almost paid off as his side earned a corner, but Kaizer Chiefs' goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, made a crucial save.

Kaizer Chiefs continued to press for an equaliser, with Jasond Gonzalez heading off target in the 32nd minute. Despite their efforts, the first half ended with SuperSport United in the lead.

In the second half, Kaizer Chiefs made changes, but they struggled to find the back of the net despite their dominance. SuperSport United's goalkeeper, Ricardo Goss, denied them a chance to equalise from a set-piece in the 71st minute.

Bezuidenhout had a golden opportunity to seal the victory for SuperSport United in the 74th minute, but Khune made a crucial save. In the final moments of the match, both sides had chances, but the score remained 1-0.

This result lifted SuperSport United to third place on the league table with 13 points from six matches, while Kaizer Chiefs remained in eighth place with the same point tally from seven games. Kaizer Chiefs are now winless in two consecutive league matches, earning only one point in those outings.
