SuperSport United produce late comeback to snatch victory at Moroka Swallows

SuperSport United moved up to second in the league standings after coming from behind to beat Moroka Swallows 2-1 at the Dobsonville Stadium on Friday.

All the goals came in the second half after Gabadinho Mhango opened the scoring for the Birds before Tendamudzimu Matodzi and Etiosa Ighodaro found the net to give Matsatsantsa all three points.

The victory moves Gavin Hunt's charges up to 26 points after 14 league matches, still seven behind leaders Mamleodi Sundowns who have only played 11 games.

Hunt though will be pleased with the fight his team showed to snatch the win after falling behind in the 69th minute when Mhango found the back of the net.

SuperSport then found late joy from their substitutes bench as Matodzi found the equaliser with five minutes of regulation time remaining.

Another sub, Ighodaro then completed the late escape for the visitors when he beat Daniel Akpeyi to make sure Matsatsantsa leave Soweto with maximum points.
