The deal has been in the works for several days now with the side coached by Lehlohonolo Seema desperate for reinforcements before the Premier Soccer League transfer window deadline shuts down tonight.
Johannes moved to Sundowns from SuperSport United, a team that later sold its topflight status to Siwelele, almost a year ago but has not had that much game time having arrived while recovering from injury.
The former junior international captain successfully underwent rehab at Chloorkop and had been working his way back into coach Miguel Cardoso’s match day squad – however the decision to loan him is to help him with game time.
It’s understood the transfer has been agreed to in principle subject to paperwork being finalised before the window closes.
Siwelele have undergone some surprise changes themselves overnight following the announcement by chairman Calvin Le John that CEO Stan Matthews and assistant coach Andre Arendse would be leaving the club.
Former Bafana Bafana defender Willem Jackson is to now help his ex-teammate Seema as his number two in the dugout.
Le John went on to reveal that Siwelele, who are expected to relocate to Bloemfontein only next season, will look to beef up the team with at least six players by tonight.
Johannes is one signing that appears to be confirmed.
