Sekhukhune United will be back for more - Brandon Truter

Sekhukhune United coach Brandon Truter has no regrets, arguing the squad is good enough to reach more cup finals in the future and maybe even win them.

Babina Noko fell to Orlando Pirates in Saturday evening's Nedbank Cup final at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, losing 2-1 in the country's capital.

For Truter and Sekhukhune, it was a maiden cup final but they proved no pushovers as the Buccaneers only found the winner in the fourth of six additional minutes at the end of the 90.

'Brakkies' believes their ascedency this season, both in the league – where they ended inside the top-eight for the first time – as well as the cup, signals good things to come in future.

"I think it was a good final for the supporters, a good advert for Nedbank. Of course, we scored early, and they scored the last goal and won it," reacted Truter.

"I'm extremely proud of the boys, with the strides made this season – so many accolades, so many achievements, so I can't be bitter about this result.

"I'm sure there will be more finals with the progression in the team, but other than that, you wake up in the morning with expectations and the day will end with experiences."
