Seasoned administrator Nelisiwe Motsoagae takes on a senior role at SAFA

Newly appointed South African Football Association HPC Girls’ Academy Administrator Nelisiwe Motsoagae says she looks forward to national level impact to help develop girls in football.

The seasoned football administrator comes with a wealth of experience in finance, coaching, and sport education skills at the national football mother body.

In an exclusive interview with SABC Sport, Motsoagae says she is aware that the role comes with a huge responsibility but is excited to unleash her passion at a bigger platform.

"I feel incredibly honoured and excited to take this role having worked at a grassroots and regional level, I've seen first-hand talent potential with girls football. Being entrusted with this position at SAFA gives me an opportunity to make more strategic and national level impact,” Motsoagae said.

“It's a huge responsibility but one I welcome with open arms and deep commitment to growing the game."

Motsoagae unpacks her day to day duties as the national administrator, which includes compiling HPC regulations and budget reports.

"My daily responsibility include overseeing the smooth running of the academy operations. From managing player registration and schedules, coordinate logistics for training sessions and matches,” she added.

“Also, liaise with the coaches, medical staff and parents to make sure players receive holistically support. Additionally, I handle report, budgeting, ensuring compliance with SAFA and high performance centre regulation. It's a role that demands structure, flexibility and a deep understanding of both football and youth development."

The 35-year-old’s role as an administrator took shape during her days as the SAFA financial administrator in Ekurhuleni.
