A win for Amajita will see them finishing on top of Group A with nine points and possibly face the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the quarterfinal on Monday.
Amajita play Zambia at the 30th June stadium in Cairo tonight (8pm, SA Time), Mdaka knows that regional derbies are not easy, but tonight’s game is all about results.
"Something that we're looking for is something that should be done in the field. We won't take advantage of anything. We played COSAFA against Zambia we could see they are a good team,” Mdaka said.
“So, we need to put up everything in order, everything, the way we normally play our games, and how we want to play tomorrow's game, it's all the same. It's gonna be a very difficult one, honestly, a tough one, but it will be good for us to get results, so that we can go to the quarterfinals."
Clashes between the two teams at this level are never easy.
In the last meeting, Amajita beat the young Chipolopolo 2-0 in the COSAFA semi-finals last year.
Mdaka says the intense rivalry adds another dimension to this game.
"Yeah, it is honestly because it's something that has been happening for so long to see Zambia, South Africa but what makes us fine is that every talk is better when you talk it in the field of play because these other talks and the experiences of the previous games, we can only take them,” the coach added.
“We can also change the situation, we can always make it better depending on how we approach our games and how much effort we put into our games."
The confidence levels are high in the Amajita camp, as they are only 180 minutes away from qualifying for the U20 FIFA World Cup and also won their last two matches.
