Piero Hincapie warns Arsenal to brace for tough Man City battle in Cup final

Piero Hincapie has said Arsenal are ready for a "very difficult game" as they prepare to face Manchester City in Sunday's Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

Hincapie has stressed that focus and hard work will be key if Arsenal are to overcome Pep Guardiola's side. The defender has said the squad are fully committed to lifting the trophy despite the scale of the challenge.

"It's going to be a very difficult game," Hincapie said. "We're very focused on wanting to win it, but we have to work hard to win the title."

Arsenal head into the final full of confidence, sitting top of the league with a nine-point advantage. Victory at Wembley could strengthen their position further and deliver a psychological edge over City in the title race.

Hincapie has said preparation has been intense as the team aim to arrive in the best possible condition.

"We're really focused on the final, which is a very important final," he said. "We're going to train very hard to get to the final in the best way possible and to win the title. That's the most important thing."

For Mikel Arteta, the final represents a major opportunity to secure silverware, but also a significant test against one of Europe's strongest sides.

City, led by Pep Guardiola, have a strong history in the competition, having won it eight times, although their last triumph came in 2021. Arsenal, meanwhile, will be aiming to avoid another final disappointment, with their most recent loss coming in 2018.

With both sides chasing success, the Wembley clash promises to be a high-level contest where fine margins could decide the outcome.
