Noussair Mazraoui praises Man Utd coaching set-up ahead of remaining fixtures

The Dutch defender, who can play across defence and midfield, believes the new coaching setup has given the squad fresh energy and focus.

"Since I'm back from AFCON, I've really enjoyed working with the staff," Mazraoui told United Review. "They are very clear in what they want, and you feel the history they have here. It's impressive to see."

Mazraoui has formed a strong connection with the coaching team, including Jonny Evans, now a defensive coach. "It was funny at first because I knew him as a team-mate. But nothing really changed. You feel the respect, and you feel their understanding of the club," Mazraoui said.

He also reflected on the impact of Casemiro, who will leave at the end of the season. "He brings experience, knows how to win, and shows the way on and off the pitch. We'll miss him a lot," Mazraoui said, recalling a lighter moment when Casemiro playfully nutmegged him after a win.

Mazraoui highlighted players who influenced his early career, including Hakim Ziyech and Zakaria Labyad, and praised current stars like Bruno Fernandes. "Seeing him up close shows just how special he is," he said. On facing Premier League wingers, he added: "They're fast, strong, and technical. You can't underestimate any of them."

Fasting during Ramadan is another challenge Mazraoui manages carefully. "I've done it since I was young. You learn how to fuel properly to perform at your best. I always break my fast with a date," he said.

Looking ahead, Mazraoui remains focused on both personal and team goals. "Personally, I want to play well. As a team, we aim to finish in European places. That's the big goal for us."
